Never mind the arse 3. The last painting I did, and it has been like half a year since then. I have been in the mood for watercolor for quite some time now, but this winter is soooo cold! (click to see the complete series)

And talking of perplexity reminds me of this painting I made years back titled ‘Tomba’s Predicament’/’Lapse of Reason’.

xytime:

After a long span, an unapologetic transformation of the mundane into the, well, video.

A new project on my video blog.

An old painting I did in college titled “Insomniac scissors”.
I am suspecting I may be becoming insomniac lately. I mean really insomniac. I have not been able to sleep for the last few days. And it’s not like I am doing something or thinking too deep about something and can’t sleep. I just lay on my bed and wait for sleep. And even if I manage to fall asleep, I wake up after a couple of hours. In the daytime I’ll always be like shit I need a nap, but as soon as I lay down, I can’t sleep anymore.
A weird illustration of the green grass on the other side case this is.

The IFF PROJECT has garnered 260 votes so far. It has been almost seven months now since the project got online and I have to say I am glad to see the outcome of the poll. I was actually afraid it would be the other way round when I put it up. You never know these humans!
From the project page:

IFF (if and only if) deals with the potential effect of individual opinions/intensions on the bigger picture and vice versa. Here the famous ‘WAR IS OVER’ poster by John and Yoko is appropriated into a poll box. Their statement is turned into a bipolar open-ended situation. And the sense is recontextualised to our times by enacting a plebiscite between the two scenarios.
Please participate in the project by voting. And by reflecting on the implication of your choice.

Click on the GIF to get to the project site and tip the scale whichever way you feel like.

An illustration I did sometime last year based on the book, The wind up bird, by Haruki Murakami. This watercolor painting draws its influence from old ornithological illustrations.

An original Artwork. Whatever!

Pamphlet and poster design for KHOJ PEERS 2011. It is a fairly simple and economic design. The priority was on designing it fast and making it cheap. It was conjured up on the opening day itself and we were short on ‘official’ funds as well. These were printed on pastel coloured copier papers that Kundo and I had picked up from Old Delhi on a sourcing trip for her project. And actually these were not printed but photocopied hence very cheap. View it on Issuu here.
